Wellness Wednesday with Fanamutan The Apothecary
Q: What inspired you to start Fanamutan?
A: What inspired me to start my business is my experience as a Guam delegate during FESTPAC in Hawaii. My father was an entrepreneur in California. He designed Marianas and Chamorro/CHamoru inspired apparel, car decals and jewelry. My father always inspires me to be creative. I've been apprenticing with Master Suruhåna for over 2 years now. My FESTPAC experience and things I've learned throughout my apprenticeship, I was inspired to create something rooted in culture to make locally sourced at-home remedies inspired by åmot CHamoru.
Q. What is your mission?
A. My mission and vision for Fanamutan: The Apothecary is to create easily accessible, locally sourced at-home remedies for individuals and families and their better health while also educating others about CHamoru healing and culture.
Q. Tell us more about what you offer
A. My signature product right now is a set of 3 glass dropper bottles which I named, Traffic Light Trio due to the glowing green, yellow and red colors of the remedies.
Q. What are you most excited about right now?
A. I am most excited about creating more remedies that are all natural, locally sourced and made. I am also excited to hear about how these remedies are helping people in their day to day lives.
Q. What’s your wellness motto?
A. Made in small batches.
Made with love.

“I would like to share that all ingredients are hand picked and made by me. Every step of the process, I pray to God and the ancestors to pour love and healing into every bottle. Healing begins with intention and every remedy contains love.”
